Technical skill and arrogant virtuosity stand together in one corner.

The super-compressed Pro Tooled homogenized wasteland of pop stands in another.

Fuck all that.

Remember what music is really all about with songs that question whether or not the human race is truly capable of compassion, love, and empathy.

A conversation:

Alberto R.S.: fuck it looks like one of those POT smoking who knows
what we do today randevouz with friends when you are 16 and you have
a little scooter
Alberto R.S.: italy is full of those guys
Alberto R.S.: I can feel it from the laughs
Scrap: Very likely.
Alberto R.S.: yeah not real friends, teenagers rough and united by
smokin and other shit like let's go and dance, let's drink a lot,
let's get those girls etc
Scrap: There are far too many of them over here too.
Alberto R.S.: yap
Scrap: When all of that stuff is said and done, and
there's no more left to unify them, they just disappear.
Scrap: Real friends, like you and I, have so much more.
Alberto R.S.: thanks man, that's good for the heart
Alberto R.S.: I agree
Alberto R.S.: those kinds of people are hard to see when they are not
in their context..I mean who knows what those I know are doing right
now..they really disappear
Alberto R.S.: makes me think about a movie in which this guy is
invisible because since he was a child noone was taking care about him
Scrap: That had to be really hard, because as humans, we are always
reaching out.
Alberto R.S.: exactly
Scrap: Sometimes you reach out and find nothing to grasp hold of you,
sometimes you do and it's like a tower of energy.
Scrap: Like the difference between night and an endless sunrise just
peaking above the horizon.
Alberto R.S.: ah very true
Scrap: There's so few people out there who I can empathize with.
Scrap: It seems like everyone is concerned about the current time,
not the future, and then there are the cosmic matters.
Scrap: I try to seek a deeper understanding of how people think and
what they think about.
Scrap: Sometimes for selfish reasons - I want to know if other people
feel as I do.
Scrap: So I don't feel alone.
Scrap: Heh, I'm just babbling right now, so don't mind me. ;)
Scrap: There are moments when you don't need to ask, like during quiet
times, when two people can exist together and not say a word, yet feel
complete comfort.
Scrap: Silence among friends.
Scrap: It's like being able to look through a wall and see another
person.
Scrap: Without any words or looking.
Scrap: You know that they have the same fears, the same emotions,
they are capable of all of that.
Scrap: During times like those, I can really feel inspired and
complete.
Scrap: But I haven't felt much of that lately.
Scrap: So I'm trying to reach out with my music.
Scrap: It's like when you played the solo over the pad.
Scrap: It's like the casting of the line into the sea.
Scrap: You change the course of things.
Scrap: And you never know what's it really going to be like until
it's all said and done.
Scrap: And that is the beauty of it.
Scrap: The world is our canvas, our minds are the frame which
accentuates the ever-evolving painting within.
